A DIFFERENT WAY TO WORK

Your Work Hasn’t Changed.
Your Employment Structure Can.

Working independently for an international company can be a practical arrangement. But managing a Serbian business, handling local tax obligations, and navigating banking and administrative requirements isn’t always the best long-term solution.

Banking Complexity

Independent entrepreneurs may face additional documentation requirements and challenges when managing local banking relationships.

Administrative Responsibility

Running a registered business means managing taxes, accounting, compliance, and administrative obligations.

Different Employment Protections

Independent contracting and regular employment provide different statutory protections and benefits.

A LOCAL EMPLOYER, A CONTINUING RELATIONSHIP

Same Company. Same Work.
Regular Employment.

Bridge EOR becomes your legal employer in Serbia while you continue working with your existing international company. Your employment terms and working arrangements are reviewed and agreed before the transition.

Calculate Your Transition

Compare your current contractor arrangement with regular employment in Serbia. See how your take-home income and your international employer’s costs could change.

This calculator is designed for foreign nationals already operating as registered entrepreneurs in Serbia. It is not for Serbian citizens, unrelated new hires or existing EOR customers.

117.2 is illustrative. Enter your planning rate; no live quote is used.

174 is an average planning assumption. Use the actual monthly hours for a more appropriate minimum-salary check. Part-time and partial-month payroll are not modelled.

The additional program fees, in full view.

  • Occupational health & safety: 0.3% of Gross I.
  • Injury insurance: 0.1% of Gross I.
  • Workforce compliance: 2% of the entire Gross I up to and including the Serbian salary threshold; 1% of the entire Gross I above it. Not progressive.
  • FX loss: 2% of the whole invoice subtotal, including the management fee.

The compliance threshold is defined in Serbian payroll currency; at the illustrative 117.2 rate its EUR equivalent is €3,412.97. The calculator uses the configured threshold and your entered FX rate. THOUGHTFUL ANSWERS, BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Your transition.
Your questions.

Can I switch from a Serbian sole proprietorship to regular employment?

Potentially, yes. Bridge can review your current entrepreneurial arrangement and eligibility for employment in Serbia. The transition depends on the proposed role, documentation and any applicable tax or immigration requirements.

Can I continue working for the same international company?

That is the aim of this program: Bridge becomes your local legal employer while you continue performing work for your existing international company. Employment terms and the company’s agreement must be reviewed and properly documented; identical contractor terms are not automatic.

Do I have to close my Serbian sole proprietorship?

Closure is not an automatic requirement we can determine from a calculator. Whether to maintain, suspend or close your business depends on your circumstances and ongoing obligations. Discuss the options with your tax adviser and our team before taking action.

Can regular employment help with opening a Serbian bank account?

An employment contract and regular payroll can provide a different set of supporting documents. Banks set their own acceptance, identification and compliance requirements. Bridge cannot guarantee an account or a banking decision.

Can employment support residence and work authorization in Serbia?

Employment may be relevant to an application, depending on your circumstances. Residence and work authorization are subject to applicable requirements and decisions by the competent authorities. No permit or immigration outcome is guaranteed.

Is EOR employment more expensive than being a paušalac?

The result depends on your payment, entrepreneurial taxes and expenses, salary structure and the agreed employer budget. The three scenarios show both take-home and employer-cost changes. A higher employment cost or lower net income is shown neutrally, not described as a saving.

Can several contractors from the same company transition together?

Yes, eligible foreign contractors can be reviewed together. Team management pricing applies when the individuals belong to the same international company or consolidated commercial agreement. Each person’s employment eligibility is still reviewed individually.

Who pays the EOR management fee?

The management fee is included in the invoice to the international company, alongside payroll and the other applicable fees. Under a fixed-total-cost scenario it must fit within that company’s current budget, which can affect the resulting salary.

How long does the transition process take?

Timing depends on documentation, employment terms, company agreement and any required eligibility or immigration review. We discuss the next steps after understanding your situation rather than promising a fixed processing time.

Is this program available to Serbian citizens?

No. These special rates are exclusively for eligible foreign nationals already working through Serbian entrepreneurial arrangements. They do not apply to Serbian citizens, unrelated new hires or existing EOR customers. Other employment needs can be discussed under Bridge’s standard services.

Can my international employer review the calculation?

Yes. Share a personalized link to the financial assumptions and selected scenario. Names and employer identifiers are excluded. The employer can edit the assumptions and explore all three scenarios without creating an account.

Can my employer request a formal quotation?

Yes. Use Request a Formal Proposal to bring the scenario and estimated costs into our contact flow. Nothing is submitted automatically. You can review the message and send an email draft to our team; a formal quote follows an individual review.
